Necromunda - "Necrowalls v41" & "Necrowalls v41 Superstructures" project update.

The idea came (as always btw.) from Queras (Tales from the Basement) somewhere in August. He asked me:

"WeRT, could you design platforms which I will put on my walls set?"

Necromunda - My "Necrowalls" set on Thingiverse

My 2nd set called "Necrowalls" for Necromunda tiles. New set was optimized for easy cutting and assembling. Design is slightly different from previous but the style preserved. I've uploaded all files on Thingiverse.

Each [design] contains assembly instruction in PDF file. Last but not least, all files are shared with this CC license. You can made set for yourself but it's illegal to sell or modify it in any kind or form.

I hope you like it :)

Necromunda - Walls Set Project

Story behind project
So it was one of this days when everything is against you. My VTLAMP6 had some malfunction. I've sent it back to the shop with complaint. They said it will take ~20 days to get me new one. Crap! Because I wasn't able to paint miniatures I've started priming bases and walls for Frostgrave Project. After 3 evenings I was bored as hell. And in this endless boredom I've finally found 3 words. "Necromunda Platform Set".

Necromunda - Containers

My little laser-cutting project for upcoming Necromunda board. 8 containers, same shape with different finishing. Cost me ~28,5 € for all. Now I need to focus on platforms :)

Frostgrave - Zombies Encounter

I painted another Random Encounter for my Frostgrave Project. Zombie models are from Mantic Games and hell, they are 10x more sexy than GW ones. But... I've used GW video tuts and 3/4 of paints made by them. So somehow it's a win-win situation.

Frostgrave - Ghouls Encounter

Did I say I can't paint figures? Yeah, and here is the proof.
I didn't paint single miniature in last 4 years. But hell... I need to paint all Soviets (and Germans) hidden in wardrobes. I've chose Ghouls made by Mantic Games for start. Great models (they look more like old school ghouls then GW abominations).

Bolt Action - Wheat and ploughed fields

Wheat fields were made from coconut mat. I don't like how miniatures looks when you put them on just solid piece of mat. So I've cut mat onto smaller pieces and glued them at the sides and in the corners. I had to paint mat fibers because they were too orange for my taste. But... heh... that's another story. Now inside each wheat field you can easily place 12 man, light tank or transporter.
Ploughed fields were made from door mat and textured with dried tea (soaked in PVA glue).

Bolt Action - Buildings part III - Office

My pride and pearl. I'm really glad how it looks. It was the most expensive building so far because for basic structure I paid 7-8 €. But it was worth it. I was inspired by XIX and XX century buildings from Silesia and Galicia (Eastern Europe) region. Maybe it is school? Maybe office? It is not a house for sure. For the first time instead of doing regular cuts I've tried to make half cuts to get bricks texture. I've asked company (they made for me previous laser-cuts) to try using only 30% of laser power. It was perfect shoot. At first gaps between bricks looks too thin but after airbrush primer I found it isn't necessary to fill them with wash.

Bolt Action - Buildings part II - Wooden barn and wooden house

Second part of my buildings for Bolt Action 1939. I will start with the barn. I designed it by myself and laser-cut as an basic structure. Front side, with huge doors, I took from my grandparents real life barn. Back side, with two little windows and small doors, was barn which belongs to relative family from out of town.
Wood texture was made with 1mm thick balsa wood. Rural house have the same basic structure as buildings presented before.

Bolt Action - Buildings part I - Rural houses

Today I want to present to you rural houses. I designed them by myself in Adobe Illustrator. Next, I've asked small company near my job to make laser-cuts for me. Single base structure cost me around 2,8 €. Then I've textured structure with wide variety of materials. How basic structure look you'll find at the bottom of this post.

Review - T-28 from JSC (1/56 or 28mm)

While waiting for Rubicon Models releases (T-26 and GAZ-AA for my Soviets) I’ve decided to buy myself a present. I choose T-28 from JSC made by a Pole - “Rilian”. If you check the BA rules for T-28 you’ll find it’s a weak, overpriced in points, useless brick which won’t hide even behind a barn. On the other hand, with two of my friends we've agreed to play Bolt Action in the Early War setup. Literally it means: “even if it doesn't make any sense it's still OK”. I pressed the [ADD TO CART] button and in comment section I've made a note:
“I would prefer to get a model without any bubbles and deformations. It’ll save you and me some time on complaint and returns. Thanks!”
Why do I mention it? Keep reading.
